What better way to finish up my February Leather Series than with my leather leggings? I have been loving brighter hues lately to help me imagine that I am already in warmer weather! Where I live, this week was warm and sunny - it was good for my soul...but now it's back to freezing! This bright royal blue top is the perfect one to pull out to satisfy this need. Plus this shirt is sleeveless so you'll be seeing more from this gem over the summer!

{Comfy Casual}

Over the weekend, I went to my hometown to spend some time with my family. I don't know about you, but I always get so refreshed and energized - like I've been fully charged - every time I go home. I did not do much of anything, spent the weekend in T-shirts and legging/yoga pants, and did not wear one inch of makeup the entire time. It was incredibly wonderful and definitely needed for my soul. This outfit is one of my favorite outfits for when I want to be completely comfortable and casual, but also presentable enough to wear out to the farmers market, lunch with a girl friend, or just running weekend errands. I love that these leggings are from Spalding and are meant for runners. That means they are thick enough to wear without necessarily completely covering the bottom half (I felt it was needed to explain since the sweater only covers me half way!)! Plus whenever I do go running during the colder months - I always grab this pair of perfect leggings! I hope you had just as a relaxing weekend as I did!

This outfit was one of the first outfits that I wore to my clinical placement. I had no intention of taking pictures of it until my boyfriend mentioned that he really liked it! This is a rare occasion because Stephen is so unaware of my clothing most days...him being my photographer is probably starting to change that a bit! I love that the floral shirt and white jeans are light and airy in feel, but when I added the cardigan and boots I felt like I had winterized a summer outfit - and I am desperately in need of some sun! Thankfully it has been warmer where I am!  How's the weather in your area?

Blue Polka Dot

This past weekend was Valentine's Day and I felt it was appropriate to explain what my boyfriend and I did to celebrate. First of all, we decided a few weeks ago to spend our money wisely and go see a show together instead of spend it on gifts. We want to have plenty of memories together instead of just buying each other the gift of the moment. The show we saw was Cirque Ziva and let me tell you it was AMAZING! There are some really talented humans in this world, y'all! The show was on Saturday and since V-day was on Friday, I figured it would be just any ole other day...but then my boyfriend surprised me with flowers, candy, and a sweet card! He sure can be romantic when he wants to be! I was so shocked, but then he let me pick out another gift as well! It is definitely one for the books :) Sunday was spent like any typical weekend day for us, but everything just seemed better since the first two days of the weekend had went so pleasantly. Also, since I'm telling you about my sweet boyfriend, I figured I would show you Stephen...

He was pretty impressed with his posing skills for these pictures! We wanted to be fairly comfortable for the show since we knew we would be sitting for an extended period of time, but we also wanted to look nice. I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's weekend too!

{Oxblood}

I have been in love with everything in the color of burgundy or oxblood this winter season. I started buying pieces in this color last winter and have since then moved into more of a plum purple color, but oxblood is going to remain my go-to pop of color for fall and winter. During most cold days I tend to be a little dark with my clothing choices. Yes, this is still a darker shade, but at least it's not black on black! It is difficult for me to wear something too brightly colored when all I want to do when it's cold is jump back into my warm bed, drink coffee, light a candle, and watch movies all day long as it becomes a blizzard outside.

Valentine's Date

During past V-day's where I did not have any boy to celebrate with I've always gone to my other single friends. This year I will be celebrating with my boyfriend, Stephen, but last year my best friend and roommate, Brittany, and I had a night in together. We taste tested different types of wine and watched an endless amount of movies - which has ended up being one of my most memorable times yet! If you are wanting to still go out for Valentine's Day with your girls, this outfit would be perfect! Not only will the sheer, pink top celebrate the colors of the holiday, but it will also put you in the perfect mood to have fun and not sulk! Plus, I love the added leopard to make the look even more fun!
